Police Denies TVK Chief Vijay's Meeting in Erode

The Erode police have denied permission for a public meeting scheduled for December 16, led by TVK chief Vijay, following a petition submitted by former AIADMK minister K A Sengottaiyan.

Sengottaiyan, now part of the TVK party, intended this event to demonstrate his organizational prowess in Erode, his political stronghold. However, the police deemed the proposed venue insufficient to host the expected 70,000 participants.

District officials recommended Sengottaiyan find an alternative site, citing space constraints for the anticipated crowd and vehicle accommodations.
