Political Shift: From Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam to AIADMK

K K Selvam, the nephew of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader K A Sengottaiyan, has officially joined the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on Tuesday. His inclusion in the AIADMK was endorsed by its general secretary, Edappadi K Palaniswami.
Selvam previously aligned with the environmental wing of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in the Erode North District. His political affiliations have shifted as he brought his supporters to the AIADMK camp.
Notably, Selvam's father, K A Kaliappan, is the elder brother of Sengottaiyan, who himself served the AIADMK for 50 years before joining the actor Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, taking charge as its chief coordinator.
