A BRS worker tragically lost his life following a violent clash between supporters of the ruling Congress and opposition forces in Suryapet district. The incident occurred ahead of the gram panchayat elections' first phase, escalating political tensions in the area.
BRS Working President K T Rama Rao has accused the Congress of resorting to 'politics of murder' as a tactic to influence the elections. He criticized the ruling party for failing to compete democratically and condemned the physical attacks his party members are facing.
Following the altercation, which involved sticks and stones, the injured worker was rushed to hospitals in Suryapet and Hyderabad but was pronounced dead upon arrival. In response, additional police forces have been deployed to ensure peace in the affected village.
