Akhilesh Yadav, national president of the Samajwadi Party, accused a company allegedly associated with electoral bond donations to the BJP of being involved in manipulative voter data mapping. Speaking at a press conference in Hyderabad, Yadav expressed concerns over the BJP's use of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) to influence election outcomes, questioning the reliability of a mapping app involved in the process.
He argued the SIR exercise is akin to implementing a National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Uttar Pradesh, potentially disenfranchising nearly three crore voters. Yadav urged that politics should focus on 'vision, not division,' as he criticized the BJP's divisive tactics. He emphasized the need for fair electoral practices.
Discussing technology, Yadav highlighted the misuse of AI and cyber fraud in the region while advocating for using AI in public welfare services like traffic management and education. He promised that under Samajwadi Party governance, artificial intelligence would be harnessed to benefit society universally.
