Jose Charles Martin Launches New Political Party in Puducherry

Jose Charles Martin, a former BJP functionary and the son of the widely known 'lottery king' Santiago Martin, has inaugurated his own political party, Lakshiya Jananayga Katchi (LJK), in Puducherry.
Martin has established a significant public presence in Puducherry through his JCM Makkal Mandram organization, known for its efforts in welfare distribution across 25 of the 30 constituencies within the union territory. This organization has now evolved into a political party.
At 39, Martin parted ways with the BJP in 2024 following disputes with the local leadership. His newly launched party is committed to transforming Puducherry into a developed territory, focusing on youth employment and addressing larger public needs in upcoming Assembly elections.
