Residents of Sutherland, Ahmed's neighborhood, expressed immense pride in his actions, which embody the Australian spirit. 'He's a role model for us all,' said Adam Pogorzelski, a community member. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visited Ahmed in the hospital, where he is recovering from gunshot wounds and faces additional surgery.
