Amidst a charged atmosphere in the Karnataka Assembly, Congress MLA B R Patil brought forth allegations of 'vote theft' that he claims thwarted his election efforts. The MLA from Aland constituency demanded a platform to discuss these claims, which stem from alleged mass deletion of votes.
Patil's demand was backed by Minister Priyank Kharge, who emphasized the need for a transparent discussion on the accusations. "He should be given a chance to speak," Kharge stated, supporting the MLA's right to address the Assembly about the alleged tampering of voter rolls.
The opposition, however, demanded patience, pointing out that a discussion should only occur after the Special Investigation Team completes its report. Investigations have already revealed startling details, with arrests made, highlighting connection to a broader scheme involving a notorious application 'OTP Bazaar'.
