The BJP has strongly criticized the Congress party over its opposition to the VB-G RAM G Bill, designed to replace MGNREGA. The ruling party accuses Congress of prioritizing the advancement of its prominent leaders such as Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Robert Vadra, over the country's development.
Despite Congress-led objections, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia expressed confidence that India would achieve developed country status by 2047 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Bhatia emphasized the government's commitment to the empowerment of India's 140 crore citizens.
The proposed Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) aims to enhance work opportunities and transparency in rural employment programs. Bhatia criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, suggesting his opposition stemmed from insufficient understanding of the bill's benefits. The controversy continues to highlight political rifts within India's legislative landscape.
