RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was among the early voters in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation elections held on Thursday. He cast his ballot in the Mahal area and spoke against the NOTA option.
Addressing media, Bhagwat stated that voting is a civic duty and choosing NOTA inadvertently aids unwanted candidates. He urged citizens to vote for competent candidates reflecting public interest.
Former RSS general secretary Bhaiyaji Joshi echoed Bhagwat's sentiment, emphasizing that democratic governments should reflect the people's mandate and fulfill public expectations. Voting was ongoing for 29 municipal corporations across the state.
