Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann made a public appearance before Sri Akal Takht Sahib on Thursday to address allegations surrounding his remarks on Sikh traditions. Mann asserted that the narratives being circulated against him online were unfounded, claiming a video showing him making controversial statements was fabricated.

Following his meeting at the Akal Takht Secretariat, Mann declared his intention to respect the decision of the religious body. The Chief Minister emphasized that he had presented both verbal and written evidence disputing the allegations, while expressing a willingness for a forensic lab to verify the video's authenticity.

In an X post ahead of his appearance, Mann clarified his schedule to assure that no engagement would interfere with his commitment to the Akal Takht Sahib on January 15. He also invited the religious establishment to live-broadcast his clarification, engaging viewers worldwide for transparency in the discourse regarding 'Guru ki Golak.'
