Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, has taken a stand for justice in the controversial death of an 18-year-old NEET aspirant in Patna. Kishor met with the victim's family, calling for a comprehensive re-investigation, following claims of police misconduct and questions surrounding the initial suicide ruling.
The young woman, found unconscious in her hostel, later succumbed to suspected poisoning, amid allegations of sexual assault. While the post-mortem attributed her death to sleeping pills, discrepancies sparked public protests. Kishor criticized authorities for potential cover-ups and pledged support for the family to expose the truth.
Meanwhile, Patna's SSP Kartikeya Sharma confirmed the investigation's expansion, with AIIMS Patna assisting in fact-finding. Corrective action was promised against involved officers, as the case continues to unfold, with arrests anticipated soon.
