Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has come forward to acknowledge his party's underwhelming performance in the recent Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, yet he remains resolute in advocating for the Marathi community's pride.
In a social media post, Raj Thackeray compared the election battle to a clash between 'Shiv Shakti and money power,' and encouraged party workers to remain upbeat despite the unexpected results. The MNS, having formed a last-minute alliance with Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray, captured only six out of 227 available seats.
Raj Thackeray praised the efforts of both MNS and Shiv Sena (UBT) workers, highlighting the complexity of the fight and stressing the party's dedication to the long-term cause of defending Marathi manoos. He urged continued focus on rebuilding the organization in the face of potential challenges from ruling authorities.
