Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, announced on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not have immediate plans to contact Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez. However, Peskov added that such communication could happen swiftly if necessary.

Russia and Venezuela are reported to sustain active diplomatic channels, reflecting a robust relationship developed over recent years. As part of this network, Moscow has notably strengthened its ties with Venezuelan leadership, particularly with President Nicolas Maduro.

This relationship persists even as Maduro faces mounting legal troubles, following his recent apprehension by U.S. authorities on unsubstantiated drug charges. Despite this, Russia's diplomatic efforts with Venezuela remain steadfast.
