In a sharp rebuke, TNCC chief K Selvaperunthagai has criticized party MP Manickam Tagore for his recent comments on power sharing with the DMK, stressing the importance of adhering to directives set by AICC leaders.
Speaking on Monday, Selvaperunthagai questioned Tagore's timing, as his remarks coincided with the upcoming Assembly election. The TNCC leader reiterated that party members should avoid expressing views on alliances publicly and instead follow the instructions of central leaders like Rahul Gandhi.
Selvaperunthagai conveyed that he would discuss the matter with the AICC high command and hinted at potential actions against Tagore, whose comments he deemed contrary to party protocol and democratic principles.
