Khiru Mahto, a key figure within Janata Dal (United), has been re-elected unanimously as the president of the party's Jharkhand unit, marking his third consecutive term in this leadership role.
The announcement came following the completion of the organizational elections, overseen by state election officer Shravan Kumar. The re-election of Mahto, alongside the appointment of party presidents across 14 districts and two Mahanagars, has been seen as a strategic move to consolidate the party's base.
Expressing his gratitude, Mahto urged party members to strengthen their efforts in Jharkhand. He highlighted the importance of respecting Nitish Kumar's leadership, despite the latter stepping down as Bihar's Chief Minister. Plans for expanding the organization further are set to commence after the conclusion of the Budget session of Parliament.
