Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has voiced his concern regarding President Droupadi Murmu's critical remarks about the conduct of the International Santal Conference in West Bengal. He emphasized the need for events celebrating tribal culture to ensure dignity, participation, and respect.

In his detailed statement on social media, Kalyan lamented the difficulties members of the Santal community faced in attending the conference, stressing that cultural gatherings must embody inclusivity and proper planning. He underscored the high respect owed to the office of the President.

The controversy gained momentum after President Murmu criticized the location choice and the absence of West Bengal's state leadership. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the incident 'shameful,' while the BJP accused the TMC government of disrespecting President Murmu and tribal communities. The TMC, however, dismissed the allegations as politically motivated.
