On Sunday, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema presented Punjab's 2026-27 budget, allocating Rs 2,60,437 crore, marking the last budget before the 2027 elections. He emphasized the fulfillment of every promise made by the AAP government and honored the contributions of mothers and daughters in Punjab.
This budget, Cheema's fifth, reflects a milestone in governance, aimed at fulfilling the vision of a 'Rangla Punjab' as promised in 2022. It acknowledges the unity and resilience of Punjabis, particularly during last year's floods, showcasing a firm resolve towards sustainable development.
Cheema reiterated his government's commitment, stating that the 'Saari Guarantiyan Puri Karan Wala Budget' comprises structured policies and measurable outcomes.
