While speaking at the White House, Trump mentioned having a discussion with Macron, rating his stance as an '8 out of 10' for his approach to unblocking the Strait. However, Macron clarified during a cabinet meeting focused on Middle Eastern conflicts that France intends to stay out of the current conflict.

Macron further explained that France is working on assembling a coalition to secure the strategic maritime corridor once a resolution is reached and tensions de-escalate. This effort would not involve the U.S., indicating France's intention to handle the situation independently when calm is restored.
