In a strategic political maneuver, the nine elected Zilla Parishad members of Shiv Sena (UBT) are considering aligning with dominant parties capable of controlling the local body, as per UBT leader Ambadas Danve. The elections are set for Wednesday, with BJP and the Shinde-led Shiv Sena in dominant positions.
Last month's election for the 63-seat Zilla Parishad saw the BJP securing 23 seats, while the Shinde-led Shiv Sena captured 21. Shiv Sena (UBT) won nine seats and the NCP claimed four. The elections for president and vice-president of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Zilla Parishad are scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
"Our members are inclined to join the ruling group, regardless of its formation by BJP or Shiv Sena (Shinde)," stated Danve, indicating potential shifts in political alliances. This highlights the unpredictable nature of politics, underscoring the dynamic and evolving landscape at the Zilla Parishad.
