BJP Announces First List of Candidates for Assam Assembly Elections

The BJP anticipates strong competition, with significant shifts, including Congress leaders now running under the BJP banner.

The BJP's Central Election Committee finalised the list in a strategic meeting attended by top leaders, with polling scheduled for April 9 and counting on May 4. This election poses a critical challenge for the BJP as it seeks to consolidate its influence in Assam.
