The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made serious accusations against the DMK government in Tamil Nadu, releasing an explosive 'chargesheet' that was unveiled at the party's state headquarters in Chennai. The document lists a series of claims about systemic corruption and financial mismanagement under the governance of Chief Minister M K Stalin.
The BJP pinpointed massive irregularities, mentioning over Rs 1 lakh crore in the state's liquor distribution operations and extensive graft in highway tenders and municipal contracts. Accusations extended to the government's failure to fulfill significant electoral promises, such as reducing fuel prices and providing cooking gas subsidies.
Furthermore, the chargesheet accuses the DMK of an anti-Hindu stance, citing alleged derogatory comments by prominent leaders and referencing social justice failures. Highlighted was the delayed investigation into the Vengaivayal incident, which has raised concerns about the state's commitment to marginalised communities.
