AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the ruling TMC and other political parties on Wednesday, accusing them of leveraging the Muslim community for electoral gains without contributing to their development. Speaking at a rally in Naowda, Owaisi supported Humayun Kabir-led AJUP candidates and pointed to a lack of improvement in the Muslim community's condition despite 50 years of voting for the Congress, Left Front, and TMC.

Owaisi called for greater political representation for Muslims in West Bengal, urging voters to back leaders from the community who can drive true economic development. He positioned the coalition with Kabir as a challenge to Mamata Banerjee and TMC's dominance in the state.

The West Bengal assembly elections are set for April 23 and April 29, with counting scheduled for May 4. Owaisi hopes to make significant inroads by galvanizing the Muslim vote, emphasizing the need for change in political leadership to better serve the community's interests.
