The political temperature in Tamil Nadu has risen sharply as the AIADMK lashed out against recent remarks made by Chief Minister MK Stalin. Describing them as 'below-the-belt', AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan challenged Stalin and his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, for public debates on governance achievements.

MK Stalin, who is eyeing electoral success in Kolathur, had criticized the former AIADMK government for alleged misgovernance and cronyism during a rally in Tiruchirappalli. He accused Edappadi K Palaniswami of nepotism in awarding government contracts and claimed the BJP failed Tamil Nadu by withholding funds.

In response, Sathyan suggested that the DMK, unable to tout its achievements, resorts to personal attacks to divert attention from governance failures. With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections slated for April 23, these exchanges underscore the intense political battle shaping the campaign trail.
