In the bustling arena of Tamil Nadu politics, Chief Minister M K Stalin has delivered a sharp critique of AIADMK leader Palaniswami, highlighting the latter's close ties with the BJP. Speaking at an election rally, Stalin contrasted AIADMK's alliance as servile, compared to DMK's historical coalition with the BJP during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee era.
Stalin accused Palaniswami of betraying Tamil Nadu's interests by surrendering its autonomy to the central BJP leadership, led by Amit Shah. In a fiery address, he claimed that AIADMK had transformed into a "party rented out to the BJP," urging voters to reject this partnership in the upcoming election.
Responding to allegations of hypocrisy regarding DMK's past alliances, AIADMK's Palaniswami invoked an undated photograph of late leaders Karunanidhi, Murasoli Maran with Vajpayee, questioning their branding as "Sanghi." The tension underscores the fierce competition for voter sentiment in Tamil Nadu ahead of crucial elections.
