West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee escalated her accusations against the BJP and the Election Commission, claiming Union Home Minister Amit Shah orchestrated a conspiracy to create unrest in the state before upcoming assembly elections. She urged restraint among her supporters and accused the Election Commission of failing to protect judicial officers in Malda.

Banerjee criticized the BJP's alleged attempts to polarize and destabilize Bengal, warning against falling into provocation and violence. She highlighted the Supreme Court's condemnation of the state administration for its inaction regarding the gherao of judicial officers and reiterated her stance against the defamation of the state.

The Chief Minister pointed out alleged voter deletion concerns, claiming they were targeted at minorities and economically weaker sections. She portrayed the BJP's actions as attempts to justify imposing President's Rule, calling for a democratic defeat of those sowing division.
