Amit Shah Asserts BJP Stands with Assam's Indigenous Muslims Against Infiltrators

Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not against indigenous Muslims in Assam, but firmly opposed to infiltrators. Speaking at a rally for the AGP's Keshab Mahanta, Shah accused Congress of facilitating illegal immigration during its time in office.

Shah maintained that the BJP-AGP alliance is enduring, likening it to 'the Sun and the Moon'. He critiqued Congress for endangering Assam's Kaziranga National Park, claiming the NDA government evicted encroachers and restored the park's international prominence. Shah accused Congress of using faith-based politics to defend illegal settlers.

Highlighting BJP's developmental contributions, Shah contrasted Narendra Modi's substantial infrastructural investments with Congress's past allocations. He noted cultural and educational efforts, and exuded confidence in the alliance's enduring strength and success in upcoming elections planned for April 9, with results on May 4.
