Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stated that while global events are beyond local influence, Jammu and Kashmir's situation will reflect national trends. Currently, essential supplies, including fuel, are ample, with stocks sufficient for up to 15 days. Abdullah spoke alongside his father Farooq Abdullah, National Conference President, about the ongoing West Asia crisis.
The Chief Minister assured there is no immediate cause for alarm. However, he cautioned that prolonged conflicts could lead to shortages affecting the region, echoing national circumstances. This aligns with reassurances from a recent review meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who highlighted ongoing supply maintenance efforts.
Abdullah stressed the importance of staying informed, noting that the public will be updated should the situation change. The emphasis remains on calmness and reliance on multiple supply chains to ensure stability in Jammu and Kashmir amidst uncertain international developments.
