A politically charged atmosphere ensued in Chandigarh following a blast outside the Punjab BJP office. The party's working president, Ashwani Sharma, vehemently criticized the AAP government, attributing the incident to the deteriorating law and order in Punjab.
Authorities have launched a hunt for two suspects, capturing their movements on CCTV, as they fled the scene. An FIR has been filed under the Explosives Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also been brought in to probe the explosion.
The incident was marked by protests led by BJP workers, drawing attention to a pattern of similar attacks across Punjab. Sharma linked the current incident to previous grenade attacks and other significant crimes, questioning the Mann administration's ability to ensure safety and order in the region.
