In a fiery address at Fort Kochi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a blistering attack on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Gandhi accused the CM of being compromised by corruption, specifically referencing the Exalogic case allegedly involving Vijayan's daughter, without naming her directly.
Gandhi alleged that Vijayan has aligned with right-wing forces, sacrificing governance to protect personal interests. He also criticized the Left Democratic Front (LDF) for its political alliances, calling it a betrayal of its foundational values. According to Gandhi, these actions constitute a violation of the Indian Constitution's guarantee of freedom of belief.
To counter the existing leadership, Gandhi outlined the Congress-led United Democratic Front's (UDF) promises if elected, including free travel for women, enhanced social welfare pensions, extensive health insurance, and support for young entrepreneurs. Emphasizing Kerala's influence on his political journey, he expressed gratitude for the state's unwavering support.
