During her campaign in Tiruchirappalli's KK Nagar, AIPTMMK Chief VK Sasikala took aim at the ruling government, alleging that it failed to fulfill its electoral promises. Addressing locals, she urged support for the 'Coconut Grove' symbol in the constituency's forthcoming election.
Sasikala criticized the current administration for its inability to provide employment and industrial incentives. She argued that financial aid distributed by borrowing was a sham, with grand announcements like cash handouts and free refrigerators serving as deceptive tactics. The government's financial woes, she claimed, were evident in its struggle to meet salary obligations amidst soaring debts.
Sasikala warned that Tamil Nadu's representation might diminish due to previous population control successes, affecting future constituency delimitations. Highlighting local grievances in Tiruchirappalli, she called attention to ongoing issues such as poor infrastructure and unsafe water. She demanded immediate action against drug abuse, raising doubts about the ruling party's credibility in executing promised solutions.
