In a tragic incident during the Gujarat local body elections, a 68-year-old woman passed away shortly after casting her vote. Kamla Solanki, a resident of Patan, succumbed to cardiac arrest at a polling station.
The incident unfolded at B.M. High School in Patan Municipality on Sunday morning. After voting, Solanki suddenly collapsed, prompting swift action from police, administrative staff, and fellow voters.
She was rushed to a trust-run hospital, but unfortunately, a doctor confirmed she had been brought in dead. The elections also involved various municipal corporations and panchayats across the state.
