Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for allegedly protecting individuals responsible for crimes against women. Speaking at a political rally in Thakurnagar, West Bengal, Modi underscored the BJP's dedication to women's security by highlighting the party’s decision to grant assembly election candidacy to women like Sandeshkhali's Rekha Patra and Ratna Debnath.
In his speech, Modi assured that refugees who sought protection in India due to religious persecution would receive citizenship, following the procedures set by the Citizenship Amendment Act. He also cautioned illegal entrants to leave before the final phase of polling on April 29 or face expulsion.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence in the BJP's electoral success, asserting that the high voter turnout in the initial election phase was a sign of diminishing TMC influence. Modi invoked Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's spirit for liberation, aiming to win votes with a promise to end what he described as TMC's 'maha jungleraj'.
