Dipsita Dhar, CPI(M) candidate from West Bengal's Uttar Dum Dum constituency, has declared a steady rise in her movable assets from nearly Rs 3 lakh in 2021 to around Rs 8 lakh in 2026. Her political journey has seen no acquisition of immovable assets.
A review of Dhar's affidavits for multiple elections reveals an upward trend: from Rs 2.87 lakh in 2021 to Rs 4.99 lakh in 2024 and Rs 7.84 lakh this year. Despite two criminal cases noted in her affidavit, Dhar continues to gain ground in politics.
Dhar, positioned as a young and modest leader by the CPI(M), has also enhanced her academic credentials. Her latest affidavit confirms she earned a PhD in philosophy by 2025, indicating her growing influence and potential as a representative for West Bengal's younger demographic.
