Hosted by local dignitaries at the Kalyani helipad, the President's itinerary extends from April 27 to May 1, incorporating visits to Palampur Agriculture University and landmarks in the regions of Kullu-Lahaul and Spiti districts.
Upon her arrival at Kalyani helipad in Chharabra, President Murmu was escorted to the Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra. The welcome was led by Governor Kavinder Gupta, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and other distinguished officials. The President's engagement in the state is marked by a grand banquet at the Lok Bhavan, enhancing ties with local governance.
Security in Shimla has been heightened with the deployment of approximately 1,000 police officers. The city is divided into three sectors to facilitate traffic management during this high-profile visit, officials report. The President is also expected to attend events and meet with key figures, underlining the importance of state-level presidential interactions.
