TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee alleged on Monday that BJP is distributing money in Assembly constituencies to win support. He instructed TMC cadres to accept the money but vote for his party, asserting that these funds are rightfully theirs, deprived by the central government.
During his address in Nadia district, Banerjee claimed currency smuggling operations involve BJP members. He cited a recent incident where currency was found inside a man's shoe during a raid, claiming involvement of an Assam BJP leader.
Banerjee criticized the BJP for disrespecting Bengali culture and speculated on the fate of icons like Subhas Chandra Bose under current policies. He also reassured those removed from voter rolls that their names would be reinstated after a TMC government is formed.
