Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has cast doubts on the credibility of exit polls released following recent state elections. The former chief minister commented on their lack of reliability, noting that public trust in these predictions is waning as they often fail to accurately predict outcomes.
On International Labour Day, Gehlot addressed worsening conditions for workers, especially regarding the issue of unpaid minimum wages. He highlighted recent violent protests in Noida as a cautionary tale for government and employers to ensure better treatment and conditions for laborers.
In Rajasthan, Gehlot criticized the state's low wage levels, urging Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to address economic concerns by revising minimum wages. He expressed concern over Rajasthan's ranking amongst the lowest in the country for wage rates, emphasizing the urgent need for reform.
