Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has raised serious concerns about the reliability of exit polls, describing them as a 'racket' and questioning their credibility. According to Ramesh, the transparency of these polls is compromised, with no clear information on who conducts them and how samples are selected.
He pointed to the 2021 exit poll results for West Bengal as a prime example of their inaccuracies, emphasizing that no one accurately predicted the outcome. Ramesh further criticized the Election Commission's role, alleging bias and lack of neutrality, particularly under Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The Congress leader vowed to continue fighting against what he perceives as voter rights violations in West Bengal, including the wrongful removal of names from the voter list. He reiterated the opposition's determination to hold the Election Commission accountable until the necessary changes are made to ensure fair electoral processes.
