M K Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, is actively preparing for the upcoming Assembly election results slated for May 4. On Friday, after holding talks with senior party leaders, he engaged in discussions with leaders of DMK's alliance partners to assess their victory probabilities.

The meetings, conducted at the DMK headquarters in Chennai, followed Stalin's brief four-day respite in Kodaikanal. He sought feedback on the political ground realities across different regions and inquired about election monitoring setups for the counting process.

Key figures from the DMK, including Deputy General Secretary A Raja and Communications Wing Head T K S Elangovan, were present as Stalin conferred with the state Congress chief and KMDK General Secretary. The DMK is contesting 164 seats, with Congress fielding candidates in 28 assembly constituencies.
