The Congress Party has responded sternly to National Conference president Farooq Abdullah's criticism of the INDIA bloc's supposed weak stance on Jammu and Kashmir's statehood issue.
Abdullah recently expressed disappointment at the Congress, alleging they haven't supported the cause energetically. He emphasized the lack of vigor in advocating for statehood restoration but reaffirmed his party's commitment to the alliance.
However, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee pushed back, highlighting the National Conference's failure to lead a strong movement for the cause. They emphasized Congress's street-level advocacy and accused Abdullah of diverting attention from his party's inadequacies.
