In the recent electoral battle for the Beleghata seat in north Kolkata, TMC candidate Kunal Ghosh has taken an early lead.
According to the Election Commission's latest update, Ghosh is leading his nearest BJP rival, Partha Chaudhury, by 434 votes after the conclusion of the first round of counting.
This election is comprised of 23 rounds of counting, and the seat is known for its previous representation by TMC's Paresh Paul, who opted out of contesting this election.
