Kunal Ghosh's Commanding Lead in Beleghata Election

Kunal Ghosh, the TMC candidate and party's spokesperson, is significantly ahead of his BJP opponent, Partha Chaudhury, in the Beleghata constituency in north Kolkata. According to the Election Commission, Ghosh extended his lead by a substantial margin of 14,527 votes after the fourth round of counting.
Ghosh has secured 22,320 votes compared to Chaudhury's 7,793. This strong performance demonstrates the TMC's continued dominance and support in the Beleghata area. Notably, a total of 23 rounds of counting are scheduled to determine the final result in this electoral race.
This seat is currently held by TMC’s Paresh Paul, who has decided not to contest in this election, opening the field for new competitors and perhaps influencing the dynamics of voter turnout and choice in this electoral session.
