Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, engaged in strategic discussions with Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araqchi on regional stability. The telephonic conversation, held late Sunday night, aimed to bolster Islamabad's mediating efforts for peace in West Asia.

During the dialogue, Araqchi acknowledged Pakistan's constructive mediation between conflicting parties. Dar, also Deputy Prime Minister, emphasized Pakistan's dedication to fostering constructive engagement and stressed that diplomacy is the pathway to lasting peace and stability in the region.

This development follows US President Donald Trump's announcement of reviewing a new Iranian proposal to end hostilities, although he expressed reservations about reaching a deal. With Pakistan mediating, the Iran war remains on hold as peace talks continue, highlighting Pakistan's pivotal role in the peace process.
