NDA Secures Commanding Win in Assam Assembly Elections
The NDA coalition, led by the BJP, has decisively won the majority in the Assam assembly elections, securing 70 out of 126 seats. The BJP captured 58 seats with its allies, Bodo Peoples' Front and Asom Gana Parishad, contributing 12. The opposition struggled, with Congress winning only 5 seats.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), spearheaded by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has emerged victorious in the Assam assembly elections, clinching 70 seats, as counting draws to a close.
The BJP alone secured 58 seats, while its coalition partners, the Bodo Peoples' Front and Asom Gana Parishad, won seven and five seats respectively. Together, they surpassed the halfway mark of 68 in the 126-member assembly.
On the opposition side, the Congress managed to win only five seats and leads in 14 more, whereas the AIUDF, Raijor Dal, and Trinamool Congress each claimed a single seat. The elections saw all 126 constituencies in the state go to the polls on April 9.
