In a strong statement, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot criticized the BJP for allegedly distorting electoral integrity during the West Bengal elections. Gehlot cited the misuse of power, citing that the BJP won through intimidation and manipulation.

Gehlot highlighted that CAPF vehicles were used to instill fear among voters, and that there were incidences of financial incentives, voter roll manipulation, and exclusion of legitimate voters.

While expressing concern over democratic degradation, Gehlot expressed optimism for Kerala, praising the UDF's victory as a win for secular and welfare policies. He called on Congress members to work hard to preserve democracy across India.
