R Sabarinathan, at just 30 years old, has energised the political landscape in Virugambakkam by capturing a decisive victory in the assembly constituency elections, securing 27,086 more votes than his closest competitor.

Running on a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) ticket, Sabarinathan, son of actor-politician Vijay's trusted driver and assistant Rajendran, attributed his success to the support of Vijay, declaring, 'He has put an end to DMK.'
