The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made notable strides in the latest Kerala assembly polls, capturing three seats and breaking a lengthy period without political success in the state.
Demonstrating a strengthened presence, the party also achieved second place in six constituencies, including Thiruvalla and Palakkad, where it saw a significant increase in vote share compared to previous elections.
Despite its progress, the BJP still lagged behind the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF), which locked in 102 and 35 seats respectively according to Election Commission data from all 140 constituencies.
