Star-Studded Panel Assembles for Cannes 79th Film Festival

Renowned actors Demi Moore, Ruth Negga, and Stellan Skarsgaard, alongside acclaimed director Chloe Zhao, join the main competition jury for the 79th Cannes Film Festival. The jury, led by South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook, will oversee the film lineup from May 12-23. The esteemed panel also includes screenwriter Paul Laverty and directors Isaach De Bankole, Diego Cespedes, and Laura Wandel.

The 79th Cannes Film Festival, set on the French Riviera, will feature a prominent jury comprised of celebrated film industry figures, including actors Demi Moore, Ruth Negga, and Stellan Skarsgaard.

Heading the jury is renowned South Korean director Park Chan-wook, who will be tasked with overseeing the festival's 22-film In Competition lineup from May 12 to 23. Other esteemed jury members include Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao, veteran screenwriter Paul Laverty, and notable directors Isaach De Bankole, Diego Cespedes, and Laura Wandel.

Moore, Negga, and Skarsgaard have made significant strides in the industry with various accolades. Moore recently achieved Golden Globe and Critics Choice awards, while Negga and Skarsgaard have both earned critical acclaim with Academy Award nominations. The jury will announce the festival's main winners, including the coveted Palme d'Or, on May 23.
