Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has dismissed the BJP's ambitions of spreading its influence into Punjab politics, in light of the party's recent victories in West Bengal. Mann insisted that Punjab is not a 'truck' for the BJP to take over, reaffirming that the state remains steadfast in its political stance.
Reacting to claims from the BJP about future successes in the 2027 elections, Mann expressed confidence that the BJP may find itself with no representation. He slammed the party's history of attempting to destabilize governance in Punjab through intimidation and defections, arguing that Punjab’s citizens are aware of such tactics.
In a recent meeting with President Droupadi Murmu, Mann advocated against BJP's political moves, highlighting issues like the misuse of central agencies and the recurring theme of BJP's 'Operation Lotus'. He reiterated AAP's commitment to defending democracy and ensuring that Punjab remains governed according to its people's mandate.
