Kejriwal's Call to Halt BJP's Triumph in Punjab

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, boldly stated on Tuesday that Punjab is poised to halt the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) 'Vijay Rath' or victory chariot as they revel in a sweeping victory in West Bengal. Kejriwal claimed that the BJP is undermining democracy through electoral manipulation.

Referring to the West Bengal election as a charade, Kejriwal highlighted similar efforts in Bihar, Maharashtra, and Delhi, pointing to alleged misuse of central agencies by the BJP. Kejriwal emphasized that the 2027 Punjab election could signify the end for Prime Minister Narendra Modi if the BJP gains control of Punjab.

Pro-incumbency sentiment in Punjab, unlike typical anti-incumbency, is attributed to positive governmental work. Kejriwal rallied Punjabis to defend against BJP's alleged internal threats, recalling Punjab's historic resilience against invasions, as he declared the AAP and BJP contest 'the last election' for Modi.
