Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar confirmed he will meet TVK chief Vijay on Wednesday evening after TVK claimed the majority to form a government. The Governor acknowledged receiving TVK's letter asserting their claim and expressed readiness for the meeting.
Meanwhile, TVK's strategic efforts to secure an alliance that achieves the necessary 118 majority mark continue. TVK's General Secretary N Anand met with AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, as TVK holds 108 seats in the 234-member assembly and requires additional support.
Congress, with five seats, already backs Vijay, yet the quest for five more seats persists. If AIADMK, possessing 47 seats, collaborates, TVK could surpass the majority threshold. Within AIADMK, opinions diverge on lending support to Vijay's leadership. Congress MP Manickam Tagore insists Congress is prepared to back TVK, highlighting pivotal choices Vijay must make in aligning either with Congress or AIADMK.
